Welcome. My name is Gaie Sebold. I’m a writer, editor, workshopper, charity worker and random gardener. I write fantasy novels, short stories and poetry and I have been known to commit performance poetry at various venues around London and the South East.
I’m a member of the T Party, a notable genre critique group, at whose hands my work has been frequently and brutally pummelled into whole new shiny shapes. They’re one of the major reasons I now have my lovely agent, the inimitable Mr John Jarrold.
I run Plotmedics, an editing, advice, and workshop service for writers, with the gorgeous and multitalented Sarah Ellender. (No, I’m not always this nice about everyone. Just the people I like).
I’m also an editor with Blue Leaf. I’m a fan of Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Angela Carter, Stephen King, Shakespeare, Scott Lynch, Jane Austen and the Brontes. I’ve gone off Wuthering Heights recently, though, for some reason.
I spend too much time on writers’ goldmine of a site Absolutewrite for whom I wrote a column for some years, which I am going to archive here at some point. Probably.
I have a boyfriend, and cats. I may mention them occasionally.
